Who is Gerry Anderson?

For a basic biography on the life and work of film-maker Gerry Anderson, visit http://www.gerryanderson.co.uk/gerry-anderson-life-legacy/. He created my favourite collection of television shows for family audiences with the likes of ThunderbirdsStingray, Captain Scarlet, Space: 1999UFO and many more.

Who are you?

My name is Jack and I am the main contributor to this blog. I have been watching Thunderbirds since I was born in the mid-1990s. I grew up and studied in the United Kingdom before moving to Oregon in the USA. As a result my spelling will likely be a mixture of UK and US English – but I’ll try and stick to UK.

Where else can I find you online?

I have contributed to the Official Gerry Anderson blog over at http://www.gerryanderson.co.uk and will continue to do so while working on this blog. I also have a YouTube channel which you can find here.

Why ‘Security Hazard’?

Part of what this blog does is go behind the scenes and expose the secrets of Gerry Anderson’s work. It’s also the title of the Thunderbirds compilation episode, and this blog is a compilation of writing on lots of different shows and lots of different topics. ‘Security Hazard’ would of course be a much cooler title were it not associated with a pretty dumb episode. The Tracy family give in to a child’s demands for secrets for absolutley no reason whatsoever – particularly Scott, he really let the side down.
