Originally known as Scientific Rescue Team Technoboyger (科学救助隊テクノボイジャー, Kagaku Kyūjo Tai Tekunoboijā) in Japan and completely unrelated to the original ‘Thunderbirds’ series, the show was then transformed for English audiences into a radical reimagining of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s Supermarionation series. Set in the 21st century, it follows the adventures of International Rescue as they respond to disasters and save lives using their advanced vehicles and technology.
