We’re in that liminal space between Christmas and New Year. It’s a period akin to Crossroads to Crime or the second season of Space: 1999 – it’s definitely there but we generally prefer to sleep through it. During this Thunderbird-2-sized time-void, we often reflect on the year that’s gone by and look ahead to what’s coming up in our next solar orbit. So join me for a nibble on some Security Hazard leftovers and enjoy a second helping of the tasty bits.
The Security Hazard Show

We’ve returned to podcasting! Mrs Security Hazard swears she never received any of my memos about reviving Operation Anderthon for a second season, so instead I turned to my friend Ben Wolf Page to construct a brand new show. The Security Hazard Show launched on April 23rd 2025 and by the end of the year we’ll have produced 35 episodes, all live-streamed on YouTube and available to catch up on your favourite podcast platforms. Ben and I set out on a mission to leave no Gerry Anderson stone unturned – from the Supermarionation heartland to the off-brand wannabes. It’s a different surprise every time! One week we’ll be reviewing a top-tier Thunderbirds episode, the next we’ll be dissecting Rupert the Bear… not literally, that would be sad.
Here are some of our favourite episodes from this year:
So many to choose from and we’ve only just gotten started! Tune into The Security Hazard Show live every Wednesday at 6 PM UK Time on YouTube, or catch up wherever you get your podcasts.
Security Hazard Minis

At the very beginning of January I set myself the task of producing weekly YouTube videos about all things Gerry Anderson. The intention was that these smaller videos would fill the gaps between larger projects. Ultimately, the Security Hazards Minis took on a life of their own! Every week, I would typically review a piece of Gerry Anderson merchandise from my collection. I covered many of the staples including, but not limited to: three different Tracy Islands, all my Anderson Dinky Toys, various action figures, supersize playsets, books, figurines, board games and much more! Here are just a few of the highlights:
To wrap up the series, I made daily videos during December opening up a big Thunderbird 2 pod containing lots of surprise miscellaneous items from my collection. If you missed out on the festive fun you can watch all of SH Advent in one compilation video:
Space Precinct Episode Reviews
This year it was the turn of Gerry Anderson’s Space Precinct to get the in-depth Security Hazard review treatment! I went into this 1990s live action series mostly blind and came out the other side with a new appreciation for Space Precinct. There are some great moments… and some truly abysmal ones too. I enjoyed experiencing the series properly for the first time but it was certainly a bumpy ride. I reviewed all 24 episodes in excrutiating detail, plus the original pilot film Space Police: Star Laws. If you love Space Precinct, these reviews are an essential read. If you loathe or remain indifferent to Space Precinct, I promise it’s as bad as you remember it, but there’s still some fun to be had in revisiting it.
Patreon

To coincide with the launch of The Security Hazard Show, Ben and I decided to join forces and build a Patreon page. Security Hazard readers have always been a generous bunch. People were frequently asking how they could help to support our various projects and get more of what they enjoyed. I had dabbled with other tip-jar platforms in the past but wanted to give people more bang for their buck this year. Ben and I were keen to make sure Security Hazard patrons received the VIP treatment. So, we’ve been posting new and exclusive content for all our Patreon supporters to enjoy every week. Higher tier backers have also been getting early access to YouTube videos several days before their public release, and the opportunity to get a credit on The Security Hazard Show.
Patreon supporters get access to a whole extra podcast from Ben and I called Anything But Anderson. Once a month we have to sustain a whole conversation without mentioning Gerry Anderson at all. It’s a surprisingly difficult task, and I can confirm it is a challenge I have failed in at least one episode.
Ben has also been recording his first-time reactions to the 2015 CGI remake of Thunderbirds. Hearing an outsider’s perspective on Thunderbirds Are Go has been a lot of fun and I personally look forward to hearing what he makes of each episode every time!

Each month, our Patreon supporters have also been enjoying specially recorded audio versions of my original Thunderbirds reviews from the blog, read aloud by me. If you’ve ever wanted to hear my scathing witticisms concerning Scott Tracy, this is the perfect opportunity.
All these regular features plus extra commentaries, tier lists, and behind-the-scenes vlogs are available exclusively to our Patreon supporters! Pledge as little as $5.50 a month to unlock access to everything, or purchase individual videos and podcasts separately. Give what you can, but only if you can! We’re so grateful to all our patrons who help to keep the lights on at Security Hazard.
2026
What next for Security Hazard? Well, let’s cover the obvious stuff first:
The Security Hazard Show will continue exactly as it has been. Ben and I are having far too much with the podcast and have so much more Anderson goodness to explore there. Likewise, Patreon supporters will continue to enjoy all of their exclusive goodies on a regular basis.
Space Precinct reviews have been well and truly wrapped up – I have nothing more to say about the adventures of Lieutenant Brogan until the media conglomerates of the world see sense to fund a big-budget Space Precinct remake starring Chris Pratt as Haldane, Slomo, Romek, and third background alien from the left. However, I have a feeling these full-series reviews will always be the bread and butter of the Security Hazard blog. So, while there are no immediate plans to start tackling another Anderson show on the blog just yet, I’m sure there will be more reviews in the not too distant future. Perhaps a return to the Supermarionation era? You’ll have to wait and see!
As I alluded too earlier, I’ve also reached the end of the Security Hazard Minis series on YouTube. Quite simply, I’ve now shown you the vast majority of my collection now. So, I’m going to channel all of the energy that I would normally put into those short, weekly videos into longer, more polished, but less frequent videos that dig deep into the lore of all my favourite Gerry Anderson series. Back in 2024 I was having a blast making ridiculously in-depth videos about the geography of Four Feather Falls, interviewing one of the stars of The Investigator, and producing a 6-hour long retrospective on the 2004 Thunderbirds movie with contributions from cast, crew, and fans. In 2026, I’ve decided to do more mad stuff like that. And in my next video I’ll be asking one simple question:
Does Tracy Island really exist?
