Dick Spanner P.I. is one of the more bizarre television series to carry the Gerry Anderson name. The stop-motion animated series aired in 1987 and featured the voice of Shane Rimmer (Thunderbirds), narrating the tongue-in-cheek misadventures of robotic private investigator, Dick Spanner. The first 11-part serial, The Case of the Human Cannonball, is the subject of a Special Assignment today!
