We’ll be comparing these two menacing Mysteron threats from the 1967 Supermarionation series and Gerry Anderson’s 2005 CGI remake. In The Launching, Spectrum work to protect President Roberts in the ultimate Mysteron misdirection, while Touch of the Reaper sees Scarlet and the team battle a horrific virus spread by touch that leads them to Air Force One.

In 1969, Hammer released their sci-fi western feature MOON ZERO TWO. Starring Space: 1999’s Catherine Schell, featuring space miniature effects, and set on a retro-futuristic moonbase, the movie certainly bears a resemblance to a Gerry Anderson production without actually being one. Jack and Ben are going to dive into the similarities between Moon Zero Two and the Anderson canon.
Ep 59 – Thunderbirds IR (Unmade 2005 Puppet Reboot Trailer)
A trailer for a new series of Thunderbirds appeared on the internet in 2005 promising brand new puppets, bold new vehicle designs, and a heap of action without strings. The series was never produced, and the trailer remains a tantalising glimpse at what might have been. Jack and Ben are preparing to dive deep into the Thunderbirds IR trailer and discuss what we like and dislike about this unexplored new direction for International Rescue.
